As a lifelong Democrat I became politically active in 1968 working with the Eugene McCarthy Campaign in high school followed with an October 1970 sit-in “STOP the Viet Nam War” as a college freshman in Milwaukee, Wi. I relocated to Arizona in 1984 after 10 years in Minnesota. The re-energized drive to get involved began during the 2018 Red for Ed Movement when I got involved with our Legislative District. Retiring after 44 years of teaching, I became politically active again when it became obvious that action was necessary to get Arizona and the United States moving in the right direction. I began as a PC and moved up the ranks to become the current chair. I also spend time with my other passion; fostering kittens for the Arizona Humane Society.
